Wise Tim Smit
The man behind the Eden Project has been rated along with the United Kingdom's wisest people, The Cornish Guardian reported this week. According to the Wise List, produced by Saga Magazine, he has been considered among Bobby Charlton and Kelly Holmes in the shortlist for 2005.
The magazine refers to his boundless energy and his desire to raise public awareness to vital issues. It considers his project as "a call to action". As anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting the Eden Project will be aware of, this is very true, and it is refreshing to see a place dedicated to something other than profit.
The final list will be published in a later edition of Saga Magazine.
